About
Drawing from the rich storytelling tradition of printmaking, my work interrogates the ways women have been depicted in myths, fairytales, and history—narratives that continue to resonate in contemporary culture. Using traditional relief printmaking techniques, I subvert and reimagine these familiar stories with dark, often macabre reinterpretations, reclaiming power and agency over the narratives that have shaped these cultural perceptions of women and offer a graphic commentary on the intertwining relationship between past and present.
Dienno is an artist and printmaker based in Cincinnati, Ohio. She earned her BFA with a concentration in printmaking from Miami University and her MFA from the University of Cincinnati, DAAP. Her large-scale relief woodblock prints have been showcased in numerous group exhibitions, both locally and nationally.
